Bill Baker, an American oil driller from Oklahoma, went to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter Alison, who was in jail for claiming she did not commit murder. Faced with language barriers, cultural differences, and complex legal systems, Bill established a new life for himself in France because his personal mission is to make his daughter innocent.
